Dear Ann,
Glad you liked this. I wove it on my Lotus 8 shaft jack (floor) loom. I've just turned my "workshop" (also known as the spare bedroom) over looking for the notes so I can tell you more, but alas, they have vanished. The "windows" are double weave in cotton, in between are warp and weft stripes of wool which felted well (as I'd hoped) in a wizz through the washing machine on the hot wash cycle. The shrinkage was enormous, which made the windows puff up so impressively. Let me know if you would like me to find the draft, but it was, if I recall corectly, a standard double weave.
Margaret, Armidale.

I was fascinated by Margarets experimental piece - pockets of double weave. I am very new to weaving and would like to know more about this interesting piece of work. What type of loom was used please to create this? Kind regards Anne Warwick UK.
